Went for a nice quiet dinner at a fine dining restaurant in Bandra (in the heart of Mumbai, in case you didn't know) and by the time we came outside, it was raining cats and dogs.

Which is great otherwise, except that there was a huge traffic jam outside, and there weren't enough valets around to get our car.

It's then that we noticed the cause of the traffic jam. It was an elephant with his mahout, bang in the middle of the fracas, and on closer inspection, we realised the mahout had trained him to knock on car windows with his trunk, and beg for money.

It was only when some of the diners trying to enter the restaurant got out of their cars and started abusing the mahout, did the man budge and get out of the way.
